Clinical Supervision: A Monthly Facilitated Group for Clinical Supervisors

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Clinical supervision is at the core of teaching and learning in our profession. We rarely give ourselves the time we need to reflect on the complicated issues associated with it. This course, co-sponsored with the Metro DC Chapter of NASW is open to all mental health supervisors, regardless of work setting. Seminars will be held one Friday per month for nine months.
Participants who attend at least 8 of the 9 sessions will earn a certificate attesting that they have met the new criteria for clinical supervisors in Maryland.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

· Dual Roles: When the Supervisor is also the Boss
· Boundaries and Supervision
· Ethical Dilemmas and Liability Issues
· The Hard to Teach Supervisee
· The Non-Compliant Supervisee
· Institutional Resistance to Supervision
· Evaluating the Supervisee
